Why my Experience at CDAC Noida has been my most valuable?

“What has been your best experience?” If someone asks me this question, my answer will be my journey at CDAC Noida. The journey was full of ups and downs- a perfect blend of hardships and joy.

After completing my B.Tech, I didn’t get placed. I was jobless for approximately a year and was quite depressed as all my college mates got placed in good organizations. One of my friends suggested me to join CDAC Noida for advanced courses and this is where I made the best choice for my career. I joined CDAC Noida for a diploma course in VLSI domain as I always fantasized about the chips and electronic circuits. I was one step forward in my journey to be a part of the core industry.

CDAC Noida has a huge campus with excellent infrastructure. The campus has all the facilities which make the stay comfortable and gives the candidates a memorable experience. Proper lab facilities are there with separate electronics and computer labs. Separate hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls inside the campus with the proper cafeteria.

The course modules that were covered in this course were industry-specific and the best part was that these modules were revised on a regular basis. This helped me to be in touch with the current market requirements. Some of the tools that we worked on were Questa Sim, Xilinx ISE, Precision Synthesis, Pyxis, Tanner, Leonardo Spectrum, P-Spice, etc.

Apart from the technical knowledge, the institute also focused on the practical implications which helped me a lot at the time of my placement drives. The aptitude and business communication classes were also conducted which has proven to be the building stone when it comes to face the professional world. The mock interview sessions were conducted which made us industry ready to face the corporate interviews. 

The faculty of CDAC Noida played the major role and without them, I would not have reached so far. They were the true mentors and provided me guidance throughout my stay at CDAC Noida. Not only they are highly educated and experienced in their respective domains but also have a rich research background that helps the candidates to develop an interest in the particular subject. Their teaching style is quite unique and their intensive domain knowledge proves to be an added advantage for the candidates. I would like to thank Ravi Sir, Pradeep Sir, Yogita Mam and Sanjeev Sir for their continuous support that helped me to build strong concepts about the subject.

Now I will talk about the most important part of my journey, Placements. The companies that visited CDAC Noida campus were all the giants of Electronics industry. Some of the companies were Synopsys, Xilinx, Cadence, Fibcom, Samtel Avionics and many more. The placement department is quite active and creates a number of opportunities for the candidates. Not only this, they provide proper guidance to the candidates which help them to grab a job offer. I was placed in Elcom Innovations and this opportunity was provided by the placement department. After working for 2 years, I joined HCL Technologies and now I am working with ST Microelectronics. Getting placed from CDAC Noida helped me to build my skills and gain strong knowledge in a particular domain.

In Summary my time in CDAC Noida has enriched my life in many ways. It has provided me with the necessary tools to strengthen my skills more and have also made me a better person both technically and professionally.
